About Us

Big ideas from a small-town company

Solarcone, Inc. is a family-owned environmental company, dedicated to helping Americans help our Earth, one household at a time. We distribute the Green Cone System and associated products and services to government agencies, private companies, universities, and individual customers throughout the United States.

The Green Cone System was patented in the USA and Canada in 1989. That same year, Solarcone was established as a corporation with the exclusive rights to distribute the Green Cone in the United States. Since then, Solarcone's continued mission has been to advance the grassroots recycling movement while supporting small business enterprise.

The company was founded by the Falconer family, and is to this day is a 100% women-owned business, with three generations of Falconers sharing its ownership. Located in rural Illinois, Solarcone embraces a small-town approach to consumer education and personal service, no matter how large the customer.

The company's history has proven that even small efforts can make a big difference in combating environmental challenges. With this vision in mind, Solarcone continues to expand its vast network, developing Green Cone programs for both public and private organizations. Solarcone continues to implement modern ideas to help combat the serious food waste issues we face today.
